Adult Basic Literacy Tutor Certification Workshop

The Cape Fear Literacy Council (CFLC) needs volunteers to tutor adults in reading, writing, or math or to teach English to adults who speak another language. You do not need a teaching background or prior experience.

The Council provides training, learning materials, study rooms, a resource library, a computer lab and on-going support. Volunteers work with students on a 1-on-1 basis or in small class settings.

Adult Basic Literacy Tutor Certification Workshop Sessions – May 6, 8, 13, and 15 (alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Workshop fee is $20; if you are seeking certification for another organization, the fee is $50.
